About CROWE

CROWE is a collection of eclectic and unique items from South Africa curated by myself, Maria Crowe. 

CROWE the clothing label is designed by me, fabrics sourced by me, patterns made by me and sewn by me!  I only do limited runs on items to keep you looking nice and unique!

I have worked in all aspects of the fashion industry for over 25 years.  From styling to buying, window dressing, merchandising, designing, boutique owner, website retailer, business retail consultant, you name it, I have done it!

I moved from my home town of Leeds to London after finishing my degree in Fashion Design to work in the buying department of a well known high street store.  When I was 29 I opened my own clothing boutique in London (and website) which I had for 8 years until the calling of the mother land Africa ! So off to Cape Town I moved in December 2013.

There are so many lovely and unique things in South Africa that I felt a need to share with the rest of the world.  Also alongside these amazing pieces I produce my own ladies clothing label 'CROWE'.  Using unique fabrics and shapes that inspire me I once again let my creative juices flow!

So thats how the online boutique 'CROWE' was born.

Fashion with a conscience was another thing I wanted to incorporate within my business.  

For every item bought I will donate £1 to The Lunch Box Fund.  

£1 will feed one child for a week. 

This amazing charity ensures deprived children in South Africa get a lunch every day.

Even something as simple as a peanut butter sandwich will make a substantial difference as it nurtures and encourages each child's attendance and performance at school. This is often their only guaranteed meal of the day.
